About the Product
PM100 mortar is a polymer mortar used to bond various types of bricks and blocks, such as clay, silicate, cement, and lika blocks. This mortar for masonry
is suitable for building curtain walls and facades and is a practical and efficient option for construction projects due to its components.
The polymeric nature of the mortar means that synthetic materials (polymers) are used in its production, which enhances the strength and durability of the mortar, while also improving its drying speed and overall performance.
PM100 masonry mortar is ready to use, as it only requires water to get prepared.
In addition to reducing material waste, it also requires less labor. This mortar can be modified with special additives to be used in the production of various products.
Using this mortar reduces project costs and speeds up the construction process.
Benefits of PM100 Masonry Mortar:
Polymer masonry mortar provides the below benefits.
- Easy to Use: Masonry mortar is ready to use by simply adding water to the mortar, eliminating the need for complex preparation. This simplicity saves time and effort during the application process.
- Reduced Material Waste: Compared to traditional mortar methods, this significantly minimizes waste. The precise mix ensures optimal use of material without excess or waste.
- Lower Labor Requirements: Requires less manual effort compared to conventional methods. The mortar’s easy-to-mix nature reduces the need for skilled labor, speeding up the project.
- No Curing Required: Unlike traditional mortars, no curing is needed to achieve strength. This reduces wait time and allows for faster completion of construction projects.
- Customizable Additives: These can be modified with additives for specialized applications. Provides flexibility to meet specific construction needs.
- Long Shelf Life: Has an 18-month shelf life if stored properly in dry conditions. This ensures the product remains usable for a long period without compromising quality.
- Complies with Standards: The masonry mortar meets European EN998-2 standards for quality and performance, which provides confidence in the product’s reliability and strength.
Preparation and Use
Follow the instructions below to prepare and use the polymer masonry mortar.
Step1: Surface Preparation
- The surface on which the mortar will be applied must be clean, dry, and free of grease, dust, or any contamination.
- If the underlying surface is too dry, it is better to moisten it slightly to achieve better adhesion.
Step2:Mixing the Mortar
- Thouroly mix the contents of PM100 polymer masonry mortar with 5 liters of clean water in a mixer.
- Continue mixing for 6 to 8 minutes until the mortar reaches a uniform consistency.
- For small repairs, you can use a mixer connected to a drill.
Water RatioTips
In lower cement weights, you should adjust the water ratio, and increase or decrease the amount of water accordingly.
Step 3: Using the Mortar
- Once the masonry mortar is prepared, you can easily apply it to the wall or surface.
Each 30‑kg mortar package is suitable for constructing walls with a thickness of 2 to 3 cm.
Mortar consumption
Approximately 30 to 35 kg of PM100 mortar is required per square meter of the wall with a thickness of 2 to 3 cm.
